Namada is a decentralised proof-of-stake network built around financial data protection. Its Multi-Asset Shielded Pool gives different assets a common shielded infrastructure.

MULTI-ASSET SHIELDED POOL
Different assets. Shared infrastructure.
Shield. Transfer. Unshield. Within a common protocol environment.

Asset identity and transaction context still matter.Shared infrastructure does not make every privacy context identical.
SHIELDED CONTEXT
Transaction details.
Protected within the shielded activity.
ZERO-KNOWLEDGEProof
A proof crosses the boundary; private details are not the public explanation.
PROTOCOL VALIDATION
Check the proof. Validate the action.
Consensus maintains the shared network state.
Information already exposed outside the shielded context is not erased.

TRANSPARENT OR SHIELDED ACTIVITY
Choose the asset denomination, source, destination and channel in the tools you use.
Different assets use a common shielded infrastructure. Data protection depends on the asset, activity and complete transaction context.
The Multi-Asset Shielded Pool
A common infrastructure. A precise privacy context.
Assets enter a shielded environment.
The MASP extends the Sapling circuit with multi-asset functionality. It supports shielding, shielded transfers and unshielding. Different assets use this shared protocol infrastructure rather than a separate network for each asset.
Assets retain their identity inside the shared pool. Anonymity sets are described in relation to assets of the same kind, with privacy shaped by the complete transaction path.
Proofs validate an action.
Zero-knowledge proofs let the protocol validate shielded activity while protecting transaction details. They do not remove information already exposed by a transparent source, a destination chain or an application outside that shielded context.
Shielded sync updates a user’s local view of the pool. How an application handles that process belongs to the application and its documented workflow.
Connections keep their own context.
Namada supports IBC-enabled chains and assets. A cross-chain transfer depends on the source, destination, denomination and channel recognised by the network and the interface being used.
Cosmos Hub, Osmosis and Celestia provide IBC ecosystem context. Match the originating network, asset denomination and channel in the interface and signing tool you use.
NAM / NATIVE PROTOCOL TOKEN
Participation has different forms.
Shielding rewards
Contribute eligible assets.
Shielding rewards are paid in NAM for incentivised assets held in the shielded set. Reward rates and asset eligibility are governance parameters; eligible assets can be added or removed.
The amount held and time spent in the set affect the reward calculation. Check current asset eligibility and governance parameters to understand the applicable reward conditions.
Proof of stake & governance
Take part in shared decisions.
Validators participate in consensus and maintain network state. Delegating NAM participates in proof of stake and has its own requirements and risks. Governance gives participants a way to take part in protocol decisions.
In a decentralised network, participants contribute through different mechanisms. Shielding contributes to the shielded set; staking supports consensus; voting shapes protocol decisions.
